Bloggers Getting 500+ Visitors Per Day – Need Help With An Experiment
First of all, I want to thank Kris for the guest post on his outline of getting 1,000+ visitors per day. Not only did he put up a great post, he has answered a TON of questions. I have a favor to ask of people who are getting over 500 visitors per day. I recently bought a developer version of a Heat Map plugin. What this does is show where people click when they visit your blog. I have installed it on Fitness Black Book, but would like to install it on about 10-20 more blogs owned by people in our little mastermind group.

Just sent you a message, would love to be part of this little case study.

Just under 500/day but looking forward to seeing any results you find.
Dang! I wanna’ play but I’m still in the “time-out box.” Looking forward to seeing the results! This is cool stuff!
Rusty,
I might be interested. What’s the name of the plugin so I can get more info on it?
Jimmy,
Here is the plugin I’ll be installing on the sites that qualify:

hey rusty
Would love to be part of the test but for some reason my site has lost a lot of rankings so I have gone from 500 a day to under a 100. This has been the case since beginning of the month so not sure when I will be get them back. I am crapping myself because I thought it would be sorted by now so just hope this changes soon. If it does I am in.
Cheers
Howard
ps Has anybody else suffered with this lately? Could do with some reassuring words because it is starting to get too me
Hey Howard,
My blog is in Spanish, but I’ve noticed the same thing, not so dramatical tho. I was touching the 1000 visitors per day ceiling and than it all dropped back to 500-ish… ouch.
I’m not sure why this is, but I’m guessing people are not that interested in staying fit during the summer (or vacations for that matter).
Rusty, is this a WP plugin? My site is still on Blogger… if that works for you, I’d love to be in it and maybe a blog in a different language could give some insights, don’t you think?
Mary
Howard, spikes and dips in traffic are likely due to some of your keywords going in/out of demand. For example you may have had a page focused on a KW that suddenly got popular because of upcoming event (movie or summer or whatever). So its good to mix “hot” and “evergreen” KWs.

@Mary – Thanks for the response. I understand that traffic is normally less in the summer but most of my ranking pages are not even showing in the top 200 so I think it is more of site issue than a traffic one.
@Yavor – Hey yavor thanks for the reply. I do try to get a good mix of keywords and I have been targeting lots of low comp/low traffic evergreen keywords recently. I know I should be able to get in at least the top 3 pages for these phrases without much work but at the moment google is giving me nada. I know this happens from time to time with sites but when it has been going on for over a month the anxiety does start to creep in. I am just trying to ignore it at the moment and work even harder then normal and hopefully come back in a stronger position. Fingers crossed
Thanks
Howard
@ Howard I took a big hit myself. I was climbing steady for a while then this past month has been a steady downward spiral. Yesterday I had under 100 visitors. A few months ago I had over 500.
Something else I see that is kind of weird is that all my goole searches come from images. Any ideas?
A lot of sites have been hit hard in the past few weeks and months, I’m starting to think it’s probably all the algorithm changes google has been rolling out.
